Thing 3. Set Up an RSS Account & Add Feeds

I have often considered setting up a RSS reader but have not ventured outside of my comfort zone to do it. I think that I will enjoy only going to one place instead of looking at several sites. The difficult part will be not adding so many websites that I end up getting overloaded with stuff that I don’t really care about. I really liked the “Sub with Bloglines” feature. If I find site that I would like to add all I have to do is click on the “Sub with Bloglines” button in my favorites and it adds the feed. It’s great!

Thing 2. What is Library 2.0?

I am looking forward to learning how to use Web 2.0 tools more effectively. I believe that I have a general knowledge of most of things, or at the very least, heard of them. However, I just have not taken the time to truly explore what they can do. I know that these tools can be applied in a variety of different ways in our library. More specifically, they can be used in the way we market events, new resources, and anything else we may want to advertise.

I will find the time to work on 23 things between projects or during those times when I just need to work on something different for few minutes.

Thing 1. Set Up Your Blog

Setting up the blog was fun. Creating the blog itself was simple but the "important " things like, choosing a background and dressing my avatar proved to more difficult. Sometimes there are just too many choices. I can see how how a blog could be useful in a vareity of situations. For me, a blog may be a good way to communicate with our student workers.
